Spencer Speaks: I'm New Here
Good day ev'rykitty! I'm Spencer and I'm new. Yep, brand new. Came into the world a few months ago and last week hit the kitty lottery for a grand prize of a furever home with a kupple other lottery winners. Here's my story:
This is my Mommycat. 
She's a tortie point siamese and was just a kitten herself when she met my Daddycat. I don't have a picture of him. Don't reely need one. All I gotta do is look in the mee-er to see he was a red tabby. It wuz a shotgun weddin and she went on the hunnymoon by herself to Texas Siamese Rescue in Houston. She wuz at a foster home in Cypress when she gave birth to me. I was an only kitten, borned April 15.
Texas Siamese Rescue in Houston got wiped out by a hurrycane so we koodint stay there. Soon as I wuz big enuf to travell we made the long trip to the Meezer Ranch north of Dallas. Here's my offishul shelter portrait.
Don't I look like a Meezer in Tabby clothes? It's cuz I am! I gots the voice, the furs, the eye shape...even some "reverse points".
Grandmeowmy Tonja named me Naxos. I think she wuz inspired by the fackt I wuz borned in Cypress. Naxos is a Greek Island too. Of korse thats not my REEL name. I'll get to that later.
July 13 my Mommycat, Mrs. Meezer, got her furever home. She sed to be a brave boy and have faith I wood be going home soon. She wuz such a good Mommycat for only being 10 months old herself and she wuz so rite! A few days after she left a lady person came to visit Meezer Ranch. I made lotsa noise and hollered at her and purred my hardist. And it workt! My Gotcha Day wuz Sunday July 19, 2009. Grandmeowmy packed me up in a PTU with some nice blankies, some toys and food and I went home with my new two leggeds in a driving rainstorm to a house with lotsa fuds, toys and two other kitties.
As you can tell, I'm reely content with my new person, jes dreeming of my riches.
Getting A Name
Naxos Island is ruled by Dionysis, the god of wine. Dispite the fackt my persons luv thares happy joose, thay diddint like the name. And neether did I. We tried the name Carmel, but that wuz too much like the name of One of Those Who Came Before, Karma. The lady person sometimes called her "Karmel Kitty" as a nickname so that wuzzint gonna wurk for me. We tried the name Tango and that wuz a leeding contender but not the rite fit. The military uses "tango" for the letter T, much like they use "echo" for the letter E. That's not how the oldest cat here gots his name, and peeple mite think that's whare our names came from. But it's not. Too confusin'. So Tango just wuzzint workin.
But as the lady person did the Google she found a grate man named Winston Churchil had a orange cat named Tango. He wuz silly for orange, marmalade cats. Loved one cat named Jock so much he gave orders that an orange cat with the name Jock shood always be in residense at his estate Chartwell in England. Here's a picture of Jock IV who lives thare today.
The name Jock wuzzint gonna work neether, but thare wuz another name that poppt up. The grate Winston Churchill wuz desended from the House of Spencer. And we all kinda liked that name. Winston Churchill wuz brave like me, and kinda distingwisht like I'm gonna be when I'm older. And we is both jes wicked smart. It's an honor to be named for a grate man who loved kitties so much.
Today is my first full day to haff run of my new house. There's a Siamese heer who is a bit crabilated at my presense and he growls and hisses rools at me a lot. Gosh he has a lotta rools. The blak and wite girl heer only has one rool as far as I can tell and that's to give her space. I'll git around to testing that later.

Spencer ... Dood! You are so cute an' you've got a great tail (mine's a short tail). Don't bug Mr. Echo too much (Tenny is far more good humored). I highly suggest takin' some annoyance lessons from Billy SweetFeets Gingersnap who is a brofur of Miles an' Sammy Meezer. He's excellent.

I found out about you when I was on my vacation in Illinois, and, was soooo happy to have another grandkitty!
