Well, I tell ya...I had a danged good reesun!
Whut kitty duzzint feel a littel hunger in the middle of the dark? Like I usyooally do, I went to my bowl for a littel snack only to find it wuz emptee! Emptee with a capitol T!!! Tenny had alreddy eeten up all the crunchies that we had spilled around the outside and thare wuz nothin left for the meezerboy. All I saw when I looked in the bowl wuz the wurds "Fuzzy Butt".
I call that adding insult to injurry.
So, I did whut any hungree kitty wood do. I woke up Mommy cuz she is the one in charge of the front end of us cats. (Daddy is in charge of the back end.) Becuz I'm a good boy I startid off with a littel hedbuttin and cuddlin. But all she did wuz pet me a littel. So I left.
Then I came bak and tried again. All she did wuz pet me a littel. So I left.
I did that a few times and she diddint git the hint. That left me with no choice. I had to poke around to find the hurty spots on her tummy. I even got shoved off the bed one time! But the worst part wuz she nefur got up to fill my emptee bowl!
When she FINELY woke up she sed "Echo, whut in the wurld wuz with yoo! I hardly got inny sleep!!!" And she tole Daddy she wood be grumpy and tired all day becuz of me. Can yoo beeleeve that??? Throwin me under the litterbocks....
And still my bowl wuz emptee.
She stood in the rain room and used the blowy thing on her hairs and put klose on and did all kinds of stoopid unimportint things before she looked over and sed "Oh crap. Your bowl is emptee! No wonder yoo wuz dancin on me all nite!"
To quote the grate Jeter Harris... DUHR!!!
But I forgave her the minit she filled it up.
Monday will be "Mommy Monday" because not only do I have a meme for her, but I'm going to let her tell yoo why she is having another surjerry next month.
Oh, my heart just went out to you in your dismay and disappointment. I'm so glad the story finally had a happy ending!

It is quite okay to jump on tummys to awake the beans so you can get fed. I mean, aren't beans supposed to jump at our every whim.

I am glad you finally got fed. Our person did that to us yesterday--she completely forgot to feed us until almost NOON!

We haf neffur hadda wake up mom for food, Zippy would haf a panic attack if she can see any part of da bottom of a bowl! So our bowls neffur get empty...we haf other reasons for stepping on mom's hurty spots in da middle of da night.

Poor baby! Well, I know your mommy loves you. Grammy is coming to see you very soon and she will help keep that bowl filled and have some grammy treats with her, too.

Empty bowl ! No wonder you look a bit annoyed. You did the right thing telling your mom (many times)that she had failed in her duty.
