Thursday Thirteen: Going to the VET

Thirteen Things About Going to the Vet Today

1.  It's my annual visit to make sure my guts are doin good.  I'm fine, but I think I gots rite eer mites.

2.  Tenny is goin with me cuz Mommy thinks she has a hernia.  Tenny sez its not hurty but Mommy wants the vet to look at it.

3.  My vet's name is Bobo.  I must remember to ask if he is relaytid to Professor Bobo.   ---->

4.  It's only 5 minits in the Shevvie to see Dr. Bobo

5.  Daddy hassta clean out one of the CTUs cuz it still has Nikki's protest poop in it from her last visit to the vet.

6.  My peeple haff nefur taken both kitties to the vet at the same time beeforr.

7.  I gotta get shots.  Tenny will prolly get a mike rowe chip like the one I got in my neck so if I ever git lost and found I can go home.

8.  Both our CTUs are hard plastick hand me downs.  Mommy sez we deserve bedder.  We agree.  She asked me what I thot of this moddil from The Cat Connection..  I'm not sure if the weels will skair me or not.  Maybe my furrends can tell me about thare favrit CTUs...as if any of us reely like our CTUs.

9.  Me and Tenny are good payshunts.  The way I see it, the longer I fite them the longer I'll be thare.  But if thay put meddasin in my eer that mite change and change fast.  I bin makin my claws reel sharp jes in case.

10.  Dr. Bobo went to skool at Texas A&M.  I'm going to offer my simpathees on the Aggie Hockee teem.  Thay drowned during spring trayning.

11.  The thing I hate the most about going to the vet is having to smell all the doggies and heer thare barking.  But at leest it's good to know if I need Lab tests thare will be one around.

12.  I bedder get lotsa treets and lovin when this is all ofur.

13.  Our fotografer is going with us too.  Come by my blog tomorrow for the full reeport.

about the PTU's (we call them Prisioner Transport Units) - We have large kennel cab (the large pink one) and we only like it if we are going on a long trip. Me and Miles haf to share one 'acuase if we don't we will holler the whole trip. We don't leave it once we know that we is going on a long trip, even if mommy opens the door. When we go to the v-e-t we get burritoed in a towel or blankie. Mostly because Miles pees on everything and mommy would haf to pull the PTU apart to get him out. We haf a "top loader" PTU that is canvas, but it now smells like Miles pee. Once we get to the v-e-t I'm all calm and happy in my burrito wrap. Miles sits on mommy's lap wif his arms wrapped around her neck and his head buried in the side of her neck. Until the v-e-t comes in, and then, well, he pees on the v-e-t. It's not that he hates the v-e-t, he loves them, he's just scairt out of his mind 'acuase the stolded his teefs and he is afraid that they will steal more.
Mommy would also like to find a PTU that is pee-proof and big enough for bof of us. Billy will haf to take the small kennel cab and be by hisself.

Good luck at the V-E-T. I hope you do not have too much terrible torture.

We have Sherpa pet carriers that we like a lot. One is called the Roll Up and the other is the Ultimate. They are soft sided, and they have little fleece-lined trays on the bottom for easy cleaning, and they are pretty lightweight.

Pixie and I used them when we flew on an airplane, because they are airline approved and fit right under the seat. The sides are mesh with flaps that can go up or down for privacy. We love them!

Good luck at the V-E-T. EG and I get our check ups together, but Momma and Daddy both go for those appointments.

We have Sherpa carriers like Daisy. Ours are the Ultimate ones. They're pretty nice as far as PTUs go. I like the fuzzy bottom part. When I get askeered at the V-E-Ts office, I burrow under there so they can't see me. hee hee

I have a lovely soft sided carrier that looks a bit like a leopard skin bag. I'll be going in Gemini's cute little bag that is a bit bigger to the naturopathic vet tomorrow (to see if I really need to loose all my teeth.)

Sorry to hear about the ear mites. Hope it goes away. That is a nice cat carrier. That must be a good one to have.
