Denny Hamlin Has Lost His Monkee

Fate has crewly stepped in at the last minit to steal away wins and good finishes for Denny Hamlin this seasun.  But Sunday at Martinsville the monkee finally jumped off his bak, and he pulled into vicktry lane.  (Hamlin.  Not the monkee.)

Hendricks Motorsports, which includes my favrite driver Dale Joonyurr, has dominated at Martinsville the last several years.  It looked like they'd put on another dominayting performince Sunday as Jeff Gordon, Dale Joonyurr and Jimmie Johnson spent a lot of time at the front of the feeld.  Impending rain had all the crew cheefs gessin about what to do each pit stop.  Toward the end of the race a lot of drivers stayed out of the pits and that really jumbled up the runnin order.

Jeff Burton, who won the last race at Bristol, suddenly popped up as the leader after running in the pack all day.  Denny Hamlin managed to pass him with about 75 laps left and never looked back.  Jeff Gordon had to settle for secund.  Jeff Burton was third and Jimmie Johnson forth.  Tony Stewart was 5th and Joonyurr was 6th.

Denny Hamlin wuzzint the only driver who wuz happy about how the day turned out.  Jeff Burton became the new points leeder after Kyle Bush made me cheer by crashin his car.  In fackt the RCR bunch has yet anuther 1-2 finish, only this time in the points cuz Kevin Harvick is secund.  Jeff Gordin and Jimmie Johnson had a tuff start to the yeer compared to last.  But after Martinsville they both have finallee moved into the top 12.  Look on my sidebar and you can see all the drivers in the top 12.

Sadly I lost to Mommy again in the Real Country Racing Challenge.  Silly me dropped Jeff Burton for Aric Almirola.  So now Mommy is gonna joke that she "beat me". Oh well.  Bedder luck next time meezerboy.

Now all the drivers are coming to my nayburrhood.  Thay will be racing at Texas Motor Speedway next weekend.  Me and Tenny are gonna watch the window all week to see if any of them drive by.
